Third Annual Assembly of Standards Committees
13-14 September 2004, International Conference Centre (ICC), Birmingham
A record number of delegates attended this year's conference, which focused on how the Code of Conduct could be developed to maintain momentum for increased standards of ethical behaviour in local government and raised public confidence in local democracy. Guest speakers included the Rt Hon Nick Raynsford MP, minister for local and regional government, Sir Alistair Graham, chair of the Committee on Standards in Public Life, Sir Brian Briscoe, chief executive of the Local Government Association, and David Clark, director general of SOLACE.
Presentations and handouts from the conference are available below, along with the programme and the conference newsletter, the Decoder. Sessions without slides and handouts are not listed.
