Local assessment toolkit published online
The Standards Board for England has published a toolkit online which provides a wide range of template documents, forms and process maps designed for use in the local assessment process. Local authorities can download the documents and amend them as appropriate to suit their own requirements. They are based on the experience that we have had in assessing complaints over the last six years.
Some additional sections of the toolkit will be added soon, and the Local Assessment Guidance will be published by 8 May 2008. We will be producing a binder of all the guidance in a couple of months' time when it is completed, which will be sent direct to local authorities with standards committees.
