Book now for Standards Board conference
Booking is now open for the Seventh Annual Assembly of Standards Committees with the launch of the new conference website.
The Standards Board for England has already had lots of enquiries about this year’s conference, Delivering the Goods: Local Standards in Action, to be held at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre from 13-14 October 2008.
The event has sold out for the past few years, so it is a good idea to book early to be sure of a place. The simplest way to book is online at www.annualassembly.co.uk.
The website is a one-stop-shop for information on the Annual Assembly and will be regularly updated with the latest news on sessions, speakers and fringe events.
This year the conference will focus on putting the local standards framework into action. It will also give delegates the advice, best practice examples and skills training they need to drive the standards agenda forward in their authorities.
The Annual Assembly of Standards Committees has always been a popular event in the local government calendar. It offers great networking opportunities and the chance to explore and discuss the issues that matter most to them with other delegates and Standards Board staff.
