One-third of standards conference tickets already sold
Places at the Seventh Annual Assembly of Standards Committees are going fast, following the launch of the conference microsite and online booking system last month.
Just four weeks after the site went live, delegates have already snapped up almost 250 of the 750 available places at the conference, which will be held at the Birmingham International Convention Centre from 13-14 October 2008.
The event has sold out in recent years, often months in advance, so the Standards Board for England recommends early booking. The simplest way to book is to use the online form at www.annualassembly.co.uk.
This website gives details of the conference programme and is regularly updated with the latest news on speakers, sessions and fringe events.
Information and booking forms have also been sent to standards committee chairs, monitoring officers, chief executives and council leaders across the country.
This year’s Annual Assembly of Standards Committees, Delivering the Goods: Local Standards in Action, will focus on getting the local standards framework up and running on a practical level. It will give those attending the advice, best practice and skills training they need to drive the standards agenda forward in their authorities.
Always a popular event in the local government calendar, the Annual Assembly offers delegates great networking opportunities and the chance to explore and discuss the issues that matter most to them with each other and Standards Board staff.
Ends.
